Glimpses of India is a kaleidoscope of India's history, folklores, culture and heritage. From the ancient dance forms of Odissi to the more contemporary martial art Malkham, from the Boatmen to the Palanquin bearers, from Ballet to Bollywood, with marvelous twists, turns and surprises along the way, we invite you to a journey through India, the land of diversity.
Across its 29 states and 7 union territories, people, language, tradition, attire, jewelry, food, topography, ethos, and demographics, are distinctly unique. Glimpses of India, is a presentation of impressions of life, art, and culture in India. The show brings together Indian classical dance forms like Odissi, Bharatnatyam, Kathak, alongwith folk arts like Bihu, Bhangra, and Chhau and styles like Ballet and Jazz. In its presentation, the various stage props used have a resemblance to historical architecture, ancient forms of transportation like Palanquins among others. In addition, the extremely distinguishable music that accompanies these dance types form an integral part of the presentation.
